Wendy’s
Location: Nationwide
SM Design & Consulting PC (SMDC) is proud to note it’s vast experience with quick service restaurants and retail/commercial projects, and our reputation for being fully dedicating to our clients. We are one of Wendy’s architects of record for a region that includes the East Coast, as well as recent expansion out west including IL, OH, KY, MO and AZ. Since April 2024, we have worked on ground-ups in various states, and currently have a dozen plus projects in various design stages at this point in time. We had successfully assessed the varied projects, committed to actively moving schedules, while building & leading our team of consultants while assisting in developing a new building program.
Tarka
Location: Texas Region
SMDC is involved in each project from review of leasing into Concept Design Development, Design Development, Permitting, and Construction Administration. Site development as required, tenant demising separation and all utility infrastructure coordination is integral with our provided scope of services. In addition, SMDC is responsible for coordinating all subconsultants, including M/E/P & Structural Engineers, as well as equipment and signage vendors. In particular, the Austin, TX project has additional Green Requirements for food establishments.
Freebirds World Burrito
Location: California, Tennessee, Texas Regions
Tenant improvements to 2,000 sf – 2,700 sf restaurants in the Texas market. SM Design & Consulting was the Architectural and Plumbing lead and coordinated with our supporting sub-consultant teams, Mechanical and Electrical design. SMDC was also responsible for the permitting process, Texas accessibility and health approvals.
Emser Tile
Location: Lyndhurst, NJ and Nation-Wide
Worked with various team members from Emser Tile to develop design standards, and establish new showrooms, warehouses and offices in Maryland, Florida, Texas, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Utah, Oklahoma, and New Jersey. Scope included initial conceptual design development through construction administration.
Le Pain Quotidien
Location: New York and Washington, DC Regions
SMDC provided tenant improvements to multiple LPQ restaurants in Washington, DC and New York City. Services spanned from field assessments and 360 photo documentation of the existing restaurants to full construction documentation for the front of house and kitchen renovations.
