Location: Newark, NJ
Exterior and interior rehabilitation to an existing fieldhouse originally built in the 1920’s, and the renovation of an adjacent basketball court. Scope involved the replacement of doors, window openings, roof rehabilitation, new site lighting, landscaping and accessibility improvements.
Amtrak Train Stations
Location: North Dakota – Rugby, Fargo, Williston, Minot
Repair and restoration of the exterior masonry building envelope for four Amtrak Train Stations in North Dakota. SMDC had to perform detailed field investigations of each station and develop a design strategy to restore the masonry exterior to near-original condition while not impacting the historic architectural context for each of the existing buildings.
